Artisan Chain, Hand Forged From Sterling Silver With Oval Links

This heirloom quality artisan chain will last a lifetime, it's the perfect gift for a milestone occasion.  Completely hand made in my little studio, it is the cornerstone of Maisy Grace Designs. 

Using thick sterling silver wire I cut and hand shape every long oval link.  After soldering each one together I follow a six step sanding process that makes the solder joins virtually invisible.  The hand forged chain gets a long ride in the tumbler for hardening and cleaning.  Next it goes into an oxidizing bath to get that deep, rich gray / black, and with a hand polishing I can either give it some shine or take most of the dark away leaving a much lighter look.   

Production time on bench made jewelry will generally be 1 to 2 weeks.  It won't be machine made perfect, but will be close.  Due to the long links (approximately 1/2 inch long and 1/4 inch wide) I may not be able to get the exact length ordered - it could be up to 1/4" over, but never under.  If you need an exact length (for a choker for example) please leave me a note at checkout, I always do whatever is necessary for my clients.
